M-F, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Overview:

The Parks & Parkways Division consistently fulfills the maintenance needs required to keep all features and aspects of active/passive parks, building grounds, and by-ways/rights-of-way in the condition and for the use originally intended and designed.

The Parks & Parkways Division completes maintenance of ball fields, as well as all the maintenance on our City parks and City grounds. The duties include mowing, fertilizing, pest control, lining and dragging baseball fields, fence repair, irrigation, beach grooming, setting up portable stage, storm cleanup, ball field lighting, clearing of overgrown vegetation, sign making, planting and maintaining flower beds and landscape areas, pressure cleaning sidewalks-walls and playground repair.

Maintenance Classification System:

The Parks & Parkways Division utilizes varying levels of maintenance based on need. The summer season represents the top level of maintenance when grass growth is at its peak. The following classification system is used throughout the year.

Top Level:
Summer Daily: User readiness

High Level:
Winter General: Cutting Trimming, Fertilizing

Moderate Level:
Spring Upkeep: Repairs, Maintenance, & Special Projects Upgrading


Sites Maintained:

Community Center, Craig Park, Dorsett Park, Highland Nature Park, Lime Street Playground, North Anclote River Nature Park, Oakleaf Village Playground, Richard Irvin Park, Riverside Park, Rotary Field, Sisler Field, Sunset Beach, Tarpon Sports Complex and Trentwood Playground.

We also take care of the grounds at all City buildings, City parking lots, and various by-ways, vacant lots and alleyways.
