Mayor Chris Alahouzos - Mayor Chris Alahouzos was
elected as Mayor of the City of Tarpon Springs on
March 15, 2016 and was sworn in on April 5, 2016.
He previously served on the Board of City
Commissioners in the capacity of Vice-Mayor and
Commissioners and is a long time resident of the
City of Tarpon Springs. He is a proud father of 3
sons and has 2 grand-daughters. Mayor Alahouzos is
a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Veteran, and active
Rotary Club member, President of the Sister Cities of
Tarpon Springs and Founder and Board Member for
Plato Academy Schools. Prior to his election as
Mayor, he served as the Manager of Verizon Network
Operations of Florida for over 40 years. He serves
on various boards and committees including: Florida
League of Mayors, Tampa Bay Regional Planning
Council, Pinellas County Mayors Council, American
Foundation for Greek Language and Culture Trustee
and has completed the Florida League of Cities
Institute for Elected Municipal Officials and is a
graduate of the FBI Citizens’ Academy. Email

Vice-Mayor David Banther - Commissioner David Banther
was elected to serve a three year term on March 12,
2013 and was sworn in on April 2, 2013. He was re-
elected to a second three year term on March 15,
2016. Prior to his election he served on the City's
Budget Advisory Committee and the Heritage
Preservation Board. David, a Pinellas County native,
is married and the father of two daughters. David
holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from
Hillsdale College and a Masters of Science in
Information Technology Management from Colorado
Technical University. David also studied International
Communications at Regents College in London. David
is the Managing Partner at Banther Consulting
Corporation, and is a Certified Professional Daily
Money Manager with the American Association of
Daily Money Managers. David is an Eagle Scout from
Tarpon Springs Troop 48, an active member of the
Tarpon Springs Rotary Club, Treasurer of the Rotary
Youth Trust Fund, Treasurer of the Tarpon Springs
Yacht Club, Leadership Pinellas Class of 2015, and an
active parishioner at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman
Catholic Church. David’s hobbies include
weightlifting & emergency preparedness. Email

Commissioner Rea Sieber - Commissioner Rea Sieber was
elected to serve a three year term on March 11,
2014 and was sworn in on April 1, 2014.
Commissioner Sieber served on the City’s Budget
Advisory Committee and as President of the Tarpon
Springs Merchants Association prior to her election.
Rea owns and operates two retail stores on the
Sponge Docks, Rea Sunshine and Wine at the Docks.
Rea is an active member of the Tarpon Springs
Chamber of Commerce and the Tarpon Springs
Tourist Development Council. She was a Guidance
Counselor at Tarpon Springs High School where she
helped students meet their academic requirements
and plan for their future. She has also worked as an
adjunct instructor of French and Career Decision
Making at Hillsborough Community College. Rea was
born of Greek parents and was raised overseas
where she attended European schools. She speaks
Greek, French and German in addition to English.
She received a Bachelors’ Degree in German and
French Literature and a Masters’ Degree in Guidance
Counseling from the University of South Florida. She
has also participated in competitive paddling for
over 17 years and was the only woman on a team
that paddled from Key Largo to Bimini. Email

Commissioner Susan MIccio-Kikta - Commissioner Susan
Miccio-Kikta was elected to serve a three year term
on March 15, 2016 and was sworn in on April 5, 2016.

elected to serve a three year term on March 14,
2017 and was sworn in to office on April 4, 2017.
